Kaguya Sama: Love Is War Next Project Is A Movie

The new project that was announced on June 24, after the 1-hour finale of season 3, is now officially confirmed to be a movie. The confirmation comes via Kodakawa’s Newtype magazine’s August issue that Aka Akasaka’s rom-com manga series will be getting an anime film titled “Kaguya-sama: Love is War: The First Kiss Never Ends”.

The new film will adapt the manga series where season 3 left off, adapting the arc “The first kiss never ends” or commonly known to fans as “Ice Kaguya arc“. In Kaguya Sama season 3 finale, Kaguya and Miyuki finally confessed to each other (sort of), followed by a beautiful kiss scene. The episode was liked so much by the fans that after the finale, season 3 top the charts of highest rated anime on MyAnimeList.

Bad news for season 4? A movie announcement is a bad news for fans who are eagerly waiting for season 4. Since the film is going to be canon, and it is going to adapt the manga chapters right where season 3 ended, season 4 will surely be released after the film release. Considering the terrible anime film schedule where worldwide fans have to wait months for a film to get an international release date, Kaguya Sama season 4 release is going to take a lot of time.

No trailer or the production details about the film has been announced yet. Most likely A-1 Pictures will animate the film just like previous 3 seasons. The release date for Kaguya Sama: Love Is War film is yet to be announced.

Kaguya Sama manga series will be ending in 14 chapters, luckily, there is enough manga chapters to produce at least 2 more anime seasons. If you can’t wait for anime series to return, you could always start reading the manga from chapter 138. Currently, there are 267 chapters that have been released which is a lot of content for rom-com fans.
