Episode 11 is titled “What My Mother Left Behind.” The episode starts with Mio’s grandfather telling her about her daughter, Sumi. Tsuruki trading was the sole source of income for the Usuba family, and as their performance dropped, the Usuba family went into debt.
They received a marriage proposal for Sumi from a family. They knew that this was only a political marriage because the other family only wanted the powers of the Usuba family in their hands. Mio’s grandfather rejected every proposal, but Sumi accepted it, fearing her family’s condition.
After marriage, Sumi was cut off from the Usuba family and lived alone with her husband. As she was weak, she started to go weak after giving birth to Mio. So, to avoid others using Mio’s powers to their benefit, Sumi sealed Mio’s power until a specific time.
On the other hand, Kiyoka is fighting Grotesqueires with his squad. Mio later visits the family tree outside the house, witnessing everything her mother did to protect her. Now, she has her powers back fully.
