Dear My Hero Academia fans, the wait is finally over! After around 20 chapters of teasing and build-up, it looks as if the long-awaited, Deku VS Shigaraki fight is about to begin!
With Deku’s arrival to Shigaraki’s U.A. “cage” and their stare down in the last chapter, the two will inevitably face off within the pages of chapter 368, titled “Screaming OFA.” The question is, how exactly will their fight look? But don’t worry; we here at Anime Senpai have all the details on how this fight will play out and more below!
Chapter 367 Recap
Before we jump into spoilers for chapter 368, let’s do a quick recap of what went down in the latest chapter! Chapter 367, titled “Deku Vs AFO” starts with Deku speeding to the U.A. base after getting side tracked by Toga.
While taking it slow and steady to preserve his energy, the American pilots who fought with Star appear. Although they’ve been told to pull out, they wanted to help the person Star left everything too, one last time. Thanks to the path they open up and the much-needed speed boost, Deku manages to arrive just in the nick of time.
Quite literally landing into the villain, AFO and sending him flying, Deku quickly rebalances himself and turns to the heroes, apologizing for his late arrival. However, when he turns to check on his allies, instead of seeing the people that he looks up to and admires, he sees equipment, body parts, and even bodies mangled all over the place. One body, in particular, catches his eye, none other than that of his classmate and longtime friend, Katsuki Bakugo!
Witnessing what looks to be the death of Bakugo, and a never-ending line up of severely injured heroes, Deku loses it! And AFO, knowing that an angry fighter is a sloppy one, fuels this anger with taunting words, blaming this all on Deku for being late. With these comments, the student hero loses it and goes full rage mode, letting his emotions take complete control!
Thankfully, Lemillion, the only hero who can still move, rushes over and calms Deku down. Informing him that everyone is still alive and Edgeshot is currently working to save Bakugo from the inside. This seemingly does the trick as Deku now remembers how many lives are hanging on the results of this fight, almost immediately calming down. The chapter ends as the hero, now using the full power of all past 7 users, faces AFO! Staring each other down as they prepare to fight!
Chapter 368 Spoilers
Now that we are all caught up, let’s dive right into chapter 368. Warning, however, some raws for the upcoming chapter are already out, so there are confirmed spoilers below; you have been warned.
The chapter starts off with AFO telling Deku and the remaining heroes that Shigaraki is gone, and he is all that remains. However, Lemillion doesn’t think that’s the case. Bringing up the villain’s behaviour when he said that he had no friends. Completing his thought, Mirio assumes that instead of a complete takeover, the two are nearly there, currently sharing a body. Although it seems Shigaraki may be rejecting their full union.
Nana Shimura confirms this to Deku, claiming she can still see some of her grandson inside. Ignoring these remarks, AFO takes a huge leap, shaking the entire base before yelling that he will steal the OFA quirk right here and trying to land Deku with a smashing punch.
Our hero easily tanks this punch and essentially tells the villain he will be doing no such thing, as he combines the might of all his many quirks. Channelling Black Whip on his left arm and Fujin on his right, he readied himself to finally use the second user’s quirk.

It’s here that we finally learn the second user’s unique quirk. The ability to change the speed of the enemy that the user hits. Basically, spamming this quirk, Deku sends AFO all across the battlefield as the confused villain tries to understand what’s happening.
Finally, with fear, he realizes that this is the second’s quirk, however, it’s too late because Deku has already begun beating into him, combo after combo!
As the chapter ends, our hero prepares to use the quirk at its highest speed possible, 120 percent! This could be the hit to defeat AFO finally, and as Deku prepares to land it, the first user yells out to the villain, let’s end it now, brother.
With that, Deku lands a powerful Detroit Smash on his opponent, hopefully ending the fight!
Will All For One somehow manage to stand up after the beating Deku just gave him? Well that’s a question we hope to see answered next chapter! That and how Endeavor’s team is fairing against AFO now perfectly active, reminded body!
