Solo Leveling main character Sung Jin Woo responds to online threats and says he will change the iconic “Arise” dialogue if this keeps happening.
Even before its anime adaptation, Solo Leveling had amassed a massive following thanks to the incredible artwork of the manhwa.
With Studio A-1 Pictures’ anime release, while the series has attracted new fans, older fans have also resurfaced online to witness their beloved manhwa’s transition to the anime medium.
One of the coolest and arguably the most popular moments in the entire manhwa genre is “Arise.” For those unfamiliar with Solo Leveling’s story, the main character, Sung Jin Woo, gains the power to command the dead and create a shadow army of soldiers later in the narrative.
After defeating an enemy, Sung Jin Woo uses the code word “Arise” to awaken the fallen.
As this is such an iconic moment in the series, many viewers eagerly anticipated the dialogue’s delivery. Unfortunately, some fans began harassing Sung Jin Woo’s English voice actor, Aleks Le, urging him not to mess up the line.
Aleks Le took to his TikTok account to address the online threats, responding to comments like “If you don’t say ‘arise’ correctly, I swear I will find you, and after that, even Sung Jin Woo wouldn’t bring you back.”
Please everyone, be respectful to our voice actors! 🙏🏻 pic.twitter.com/GWLqniaQVx

In his video, Aleks Le stated that if people continued spamming his comments section with these threats, he would change “arise” to “wake up,” “wakey wakey,” “get up buddy,” or “erect, it’s time for school, get up buddy.”
In the final part of the video, the voice actor asked fans to be patient and not overhype themselves. Aleks Le later deleted the video from his TikTok account.
