“The Misfit of Demon King Academy” follows the story of the demon lord named “Anos,” who gets reincarnated by reaching an agreement with the Hero for a peaceful future. But when he gets reincarnated as a little boy, he witnesses too many fakes trying to be the “demon lord.”
So, Anos is now on a run to hunt down every imposter who used the “demon lord” title to do wrong things. This series started airing on January 8, 2023. But was delayed due to production issues and restarted airing from July 2023 to September 24, 2023.

The answer to that question is a little complex. You see, The Misfit of Demon King Academy season 2 has not ended yet.
It was previously announced that Mifit of Demon King Academy season 2 will be divided into two parts. The first part, having 12 episodes, has already finished airing.

That means the upcoming sequel of The Misfit of Demon King Academy will not be titled season 3, but it will be called Season 2, part 2.
Considering the previous season (Season 2 Part 1) faced a “seasonal delay,” there is a high chance that the season 2 part 2 release date will not be in the near future. The Misfit of Demon King Academy season 2 part 2 is likely to air in Fall of 2024 or the Winter of 2025.
The anime series is based on a light novel series of the same name written by Shu and illustrated by Yoshinori Shimuza. So far, 18 volumes have been released, and the season 2 part 1, which just ended, adapted the volumes 4-6. So, there is more than enough material left to animate a sequel.
The light novel of this series also received a manga adaptation, which Haruka Kaya illustrated. It was discontinued after four volumes on July 7, 2021, after the passing away of the illustrator.

The series was able to achieve a little above-average ratings on rating platforms like MyAnimeList (6.8/10), and AniList (6.9/10).

The Blu-ray & DVD volumes of “Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2” will be released as four volumes starting September 23, 2023.
