Preview of The Episode
Vinland Saga episode 22 will be titled “The King of Rebellion.” The episode is one of the most hyped episodes in the season.
We will see our protagonist, Thorfinn, go through his biggest challenge yet: convince King Canute to stop the attack on the farm. But before that, he has to bypass his soldiers and complete a brutal challenge before he’s let through.
Episode 21 Recap
Ketil and his ‘soldiers’ were massacred despite having an advantage in numbers. They have now been reduced to just 20 soldiers. King Canute offers them a surrender.
However, Ketil is unconscious and Sverkel leaves the decision of whether to surrender or not to Olmar since he is the heir of Ketil. After witnessing just how horrible war is, Olmar accepts the surrender despite his brother, Thorgill insisting they continue to fight.
Thorfinn returns to the farm, determined to talk to Canute and stop the war. He is stopped by his guards and Thorfinn tells them that he was once the King’s guard, and he requests to speak with him.
The guards didn’t believe that a small slave was ever Canute’s guard, and they turned him away. Thorfinn refused to leave, and one of the guards made a bet with him that if he could withstand 100 punches, he would let him see the King.
