Most of popular manga series hold a popularity poll every year, where manga fans from Japan (and sometimes international fans as well) vote for the most popular character. The majority of the time, the main lead character gets first place, but Black Clover fans surprisingly voted for the female main character the most.
The results of the most recent popularity poll for Yuuki Tabata’s Black Clover manga have been revealed in the recent issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. This year’s Popularity poll was conducted between the months of March and April, and it received a total of 229,579 responses from participants.
Noelle Silva has now won first place for the second time in a row, beating Asta’s second place with a huge margin of 13464 votes. In the previous popularity poll, Noelle also ranked on first place with a comfortable margin of over 10 thousand votes. This goes to show how loved Noelle’s character is among the fans.
If you think that if Asta becomes less loud, he will rank 1st, you are mistaken. In My Hero Academia popularity poll result, the loudest character, Bakugo, is ranked 1st in popularity.
According to fans, Black Clover author, Yuki Tabata has written Noelle’s character development so well that she deserves to be ranked at the top.

- Asta – 22,535 votes
- Yami Sukehiro – 17,660 votes
- Yuno – 17,072 votes
