Bleach’s “Thousand Year Blood War” arc’s first episode was released yesterday. Although almost half of the world still doesn’t have any official way of watching the new episode, the episode has become a trend on social media platforms as fans praised the animation quality, which is as good as expected for a series that has returned after 10 years of Hiatus.
After watching the episode, diehard fans rushed to the ranting websites and left a perfect score for the episode. The first Bleach TYBW arc episode titled “The Blood Warfare” is rated 9.6/10 on IMDb. On MyAnimeList, the anime series is rated so highly that it has already been the highest-rated anime with a score of 9.24/10.
Bleach TYBW arc dethroned Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood from the top spot; FMAB is currently rated 9.13/10 on MyAnimeList, followed by Kaguya Sama: Love Is War which has a rating of 9.11/10.
It seems to be a common occurrence that whenever a long-awaited series finally makes its debut, devoted viewers rush to the MyAnimeList platform and leave perfect ratings for the series, even if it has only one episode broadcast so far. The same thing is expected to happen after the premiere of the Chainsaw Man anime.
Bleach’s anime ratings will likely come down eventually as more episodes air. The Bleach TYBW arc will have a total of 52 episodes, and it will be hard to maintain the quality of animation and story for that long. Multiple series, including Attack on Titan, Gintama, and Kaguya Sama, previously dethroned Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, but FMAB eventually takes back its first spot in a matter of days or weeks. In the anime community, there are rumours that some FMAB fans review-bomb the other anime series, so that their favourite always be ranked on the top. That is also the reason why FMAB is listed in our Top 10 overrated anime list.
Nonetheless, the first episode of Bleach’s “Thousand Years Blood War” arc was phenomenal and deserves all the praise. What do you think of Bleach’s final arc premiere? Let us know your opinion in the comment section down below. We here at Anime Senpai would love to hear from you.
