Spoiler Alert: If you’re strictly an anime viewer and wish to avoid spoilers, please proceed with caution.

Gojo Satoru, a central figure in “Jujutsu Kaisen,” has been facing challenges in both the anime and manga. In the anime, he was imprisoned by Kenjaku.

But in the manga, after a long battle against Sukuna that lasted around 15 chapters, Gojo met his tragic end.

This was quite an unexpected turn for manga readers, as Gojo seemed to be on the upper hand. Some fans voiced their disappointment, with a few even criticizing the author for this plot twist.

Fans In Chile Set Up Altar For Gojo

Chile, located on the southwestern coast of South America, has its share of “Jujutsu Kaisen” fans.

In a heartfelt gesture, fans in Santiago de Chile established an altar in memory of Gojo Satoru on September 21, where the promotional billboards by Crunchyroll for Jujutsu Kasien season 2 are located.

The altar was adorned with flowers and touching messages for Gojo. Upon closer inspection, you can spot red lipstick marks on Gojo’s image.

Images of this tribute quickly spread on social media, even garnering attention from the official “Santiago Metro” Twitter account.

Fans globally expressed admiration for the dedication of Chile’s anime community. Some notable reactions include:

Referring to the kissing marks on Gojo’s face, one fan commented: “I don’t know about you, but I would never kiss a meter wall XD it’s full of bacteria!!!”

“THE FIRST THING I READ WAS “Heaven Gained an Angel”
And cry 😭 Oh gojo you were the best”

“The last time the world was so saddened by a death was that of Jesus Christ”

“Can it be said that Satoru Gojo and Jujutsu Kaisen broke the Internet like (this) has rarely been seen or its not the case yet?”

“When I told my Japanese friend that Chile is a country that loves anime, I wasn’t exaggerating. What would they think if they saw this?”

“If gege akutami (author) goes back and make Gojo live, I’m going to be really pissed lol. I’m loving this moment”

“Gojo Satoru has etched his name as an important figure in human history”

It should be pointed out that Gojo Satoru has survived really deep injuries before, and it won’t be out of the ordinary if Gojo somehow gets resurrected.

In fact, fans have already started theorizing how Gojo will come back based on his dialogues with his friends in the previous chapter.

This is not the first time a ceremony like this took place for an anime character. Some fans in China also held a funeral for a major character death in Attack on Titan.
