Episode 9 Recap

Episode 9 was titled “Shibuya Incident – Gate, Open.” The episode starts with Gojo getting serious and calling out Hanami and Jogo to attack. Both of them do as Gojo asks, but being the strongest sorcerer alive, he sends them flying.

Hanami gets anxious and attacks Gojo by turning off her “Domain Amplification.” This costs her because now Gojo can freely attack her. He pulls out her head antennas, which are her weakness. They both later try to corner Gojo with a surprise attack, but all is futile against the strongest sorcerer.

Gojo now gets annoyed and exorcises Hanami, a special-grade curse, as brutally as anyone can imagine. Jogo now gets scared as he has no way of stalling Gojo. He starts throwing humans at him until the Shibuya train arrives, which relieves everyone that they might be able to escape now.

But to their surprise, the train is filled with transfigured humans alongside Mahito. As soon as the train’s doors open, the transfigured humans start to hunt humans, with Mahito taking his try on Gojo Satoru.

The curses release humans from the top, too, and keep killing them to make Gojo Saoru a little anxious. Gojo cannot use his domain expansion because the hundreds of people surrounding him go into an infinite void alongside the curses.

But he breaks the hopes of curses as Gojo Satoru activates his “Domain Expansion: Infinite Void,” enveloping the whole part of Shibuya Station. But this domain is applied for only 299 seconds, allowing the strongest sorcerer to kill at least the transfigured humans.

After his domain stops, Gojo witnesses a strange box before him. And from an unknown direction, we hear “Prism Realm Gate Open.” The box opens into a grotesque creature, which Gojo tries to escape. But his ears hear the voice of the only person he cherished the most.

After such a long time, two best friends meet who departed as enemies. The high school life he spent with his buddy Geto flashes before his life as he gets engulfed by the Prism Realm. He asks Geto who he is, as Geto died long ago.

Geto (Kenjaku) then creepily opens his head’s stitch, revealing a strange brain inside his head that is controlling him. He is sealing Gojo into the infinite realm until he sees fit.

At the end of the episode, Yuuji gets a message on his earphone that Gojo has been sealed, and now, the jujutsu sorcerers are in deep trouble.
