The Rent A Girlfriend anime series is slated for a comeback this July, and a freshly-released key visual featuring Mami Nanami is helping to stoke anticipation for the new season.
TMS Entertainment studio, responsible for animating the first two seasons, will once again lend its expertise to the third. Despite a few eyebrow-raising incidents in the manga, Rent a Girlfriend’s popularity remains unscathed.
Mami Nanami can be seen wearing a beautiful black dress and a stunning necklace. She appears to be out on a date with Kazuya. Nanami, with her sunglasses on her forehead, can be seen looking back at Kazuya.
Now we know what Mami Nanami looks like from Kazuya’s point of view and why he is crazy about Mami. Aoi Yuuki, who voices Mami Nanami, had a special message to Rent a Girlfriend anime fans:
“Thank you for your enduring support. Has anyone else reached the point where they feel they’re not just enjoying the story spun by two-dimensional characters, but rather, it feels like cheering on the romances of real-life friends…?
Everyone in the third season is living life to the fullest. The only ones who know the emotions of all the characters are you, the viewers. I would be very happy if you could support them as good interpreters and friends of all the characters.”
Rent a Girlfriend season 3 was announced to be in production at the end of the season 2 final episode. The release date window for Rent a Girlfriend season 3 was announced to be in July 2023. The exact release date for the series is yet to be announced.

About The Series
The manga Rent a Girlfriend, authored by Reiji Miyajima and released in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine starting July 2017, was adapted into an anime by TMS Entertainment.
Its second season, consisting of twelve episodes, was broadcast during the summer season of 2022, between July and September. The Crunchyroll platform managed distribution.
In case you are not familiar with the series, it tells the story of Kazuya, whose girlfriend breaks up with him to date another boy. He had promised his grandma (who is in hospital) that he will bring her girlfriend to meet with her.
In this difficult situation, Kazuya hires a Rental Girlfriend using an app. Chizuru Mizuhara, a beautiful girl shows up, and something real is born. The series is filled with Romcom scenes, and you will surely enjoy watching them.
