Chainsaw Man anime premiere is getting closer day by day. The official website of the Chainsaw Man anime adaptation has revealed the voice cast for the secondary characters. Although Mappa Studio opted to try new talent of voice actors for the main cast of the series, the secondary cast includes some big veteran names.
Maaya Uchida (known for voicing Katarina in My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! ), Natsuki Hanae (known for voicing Tanjiro in Demon Slayer), Yuya Uchida (known for voicing Ernst Zimmerman in 86), Saori Goto (known for voicing Moeka Kiryu in Steins; Gate and Steins; Gate 0), Yo Taichi (known for voicing Kenya in Erased) and Daiki Hamano (Gauma in SSSS.DYNAZENON) will voice Angel, Shark, Violence, Spider, Akane Sawatari and Samurai Sword respectively.
The previously announced main cast includes:

- Tomori Kusunoki as Makima
- Shogo Sakata as Aki Hayakawa
- Fairouz Ai as Power
- Shiori Izawa as Pochita
- Mariya Ise as Himeno
- Karin Takahashi as Kobeni Higashiyama
- Taku Yashiro as Hirokazu Arai
- Kenjiro Tsuda as Kishibe
Chainsaw Man is the most anticipated anime of Fall 2022. Fans had some concerns over a leaked video that allegedly showed the use of lousy CGI; however, Mappa Studio released a preview trailer for the first episode, clearing most of the doubts fans had. A few lucky fans from Japan and France have already seen the first episode, and according to some of these fans, Chainsaw Man has a movie-like quality.

The Chainsaw Man anime will premiere on Crunchyroll on Tuesday, October 11, 2023, and will be broadcast exclusively. The series will have 12 episodes, and it will not adapt the whole first part of the manga. Each episode will feature a unique ending song sung by various Japanese music artists, including Aimer, and Eve.
The series is directed by Ryu Nakayama (director of some episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen) at the Mappa studio. Hiroshi Seko writes the screenplay. He also contributed to the films Mob Psycho and Jujutsu Kaisen.
The story follows Denji, a young man who simply wants to live a happy life with the lady he loves. However, he is forced to slaughter devils (to pay his debts) with the help of his pet devil, Pochita. Due to a series of bad occurrences, Denji becomes attached with his pet devil, granting him the ability to change his body parts into a Chainsaw.
