Tatsuhisa Suzuki Will No Longer Voice Draken In Tokyo Revenger Season 2

The official website of Tokyo Revengers anime adaptation announced on Tuesday that Tatsuhisa Suzuki has been removed from the cast of Tokyo Revenger season 2, and he will no longer be voice of Draken.

The official statement wrote:

We want to announce that Tatsuhisa Suzuki, who until now played the role of Ken Ryuguji (Draken), will be replaced after a series of talks between the production committee and the voice actor’s office. The cast and staff are already working together to produce the new season of the anime.

Voice actor Tatsuhisa Suzuki has been taking a break from professional career after his scandal involving LiSA surfaced online a few months ago. He is well known for voicing Draken (Tokyo Revengers), Ban (Seven Deadly Sins), and Anos Voldigoad (Misfit of Demon King Academy).

Suzuki was also removed as a voice actor of Anos Voldigoad, who is the main character of Misfit of Demon King Academy, and he was replaced for Kibana’s voice in Pokemon anime series.

After the cheating scandal became public, the voice actor issued a written apology to fans, but it looks like the production studios haven’t forgiven him yet. Anime singer LiSA, who is known for her hit songs performed for Demon Slayer franchise, announced marriage with Suzuki in Jan 2020. On July 30, a Japanese website published an article about Tatsuhisa Suzuki scandal with another girl. LiSA also took a break from the her career after the incident, however, she is slowly returning to her professional activities.

Tokyo Revengers season 2 has been confirmed a few days ago. The 2nd season will adapt the Christmas Showdown Arc. A promotional video was also released to commemorate the announcement of season 2.

The Tokyo Revengers anime is based on a manga, written by Ken Wakui. The manga series started publication in March 2017 in the Kodansha Weekly Shonen Magazine. The anime first season came out in April 2021. The second season has been announced with no release date yet.
