Mappa Studio Is Reportedly Working on Its First Isekai Anime

When thinking of the best anime studio, which studio comes to mind? One of the most anticipated upcoming anime, Chainsaw Man, will also be produced by Mappa.

According to a recent leak from @sugoilite (a trusted leaker), Mappa studio is currently working on an isekai anime project based on the light novel series “Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill.” Keep in mind that there is no official confirmation yet, but if the leaked information is true, this would be the first isekai project and the first light novel adaptation from Mappa studio.

Ren Eguchi and Masa began publishing the light novel “Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill” in November 2016. The series tells the story of a 27-year-old Mukouda Tsuyoshi who gets transported into a magical world alongside three other heroes to rescue the kingdom from various threats. However, it later becomes clear that Tsuyoshi was accidentally summoned to the other world and didn’t possess any useful ability.

Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill

Tsuyoshi’s only skill is “Food Menu”, where he can open a portal to purchase food-related items from modern Japan. He sets out on his own to explore the new world. Soon, his ability to create delicious dishes turn out to be very useful as the legendary wolf Fenrir becomes his familiar after eating mouth-watering food.
